Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Developer at Qobrix, you will take a leading role in designing, building, and enhancing our applications. You’ll write clean, well-documented code with unit tests, develop features using modern technologies, and design AI-powered APIs that enable natural language search, recommendations, and automation workflows.

You’ll collaborate closely with other developers, troubleshoot complex issues, contribute to peer code reviews, and share your expertise to ensure high-quality standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & APIs

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services

• Design AI-powered APIs for search, recommendations, and automation

• Apply microservices and object-oriented design principles

Collaboration & Quality

• Write clean, well-documented code with unit tests

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues

• Contribute to peer code reviews and share expertise

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with PHP

• Strong knowledge of a PHP framework

• Solid background in SQL or ORM libraries and microservices

• Experience integrating third-party and AI/LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Fluency in English, written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Java, AWS, Terraform, or Docker

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Knowledge of embeddings, vector databases, or NLP
