Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer who works the way modern teams work in 2026: combining deep engineering fundamentals with fluency in AI-assisted development. You’ll own projects end-to-end, ship faster than a traditional team of your size, and raise the bar for how we build.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and deliver well-architected, testable, efficient code using modern software development practices

• Leverage AI coding assistants and agentic development workflows as a core part of your daily toolkit — for scaffolding, refactoring, testing, code review, and documentation — while applying senior-level judgment to everything that ships

• Build website layouts and user interfaces using modern HTML/CSS standards and component-based approaches

• Take ownership of scoping and estimation: communicate clearly with colleagues across the business about what can be built, how, and in what timeframe

• Integrate data from various back-end services, databases, and third-party APIs

• Create and maintain software documentation (with AI-assisted generation where it makes sense — and human review where it matters)

• Maintain and improve our themes, continuously modernizing the codebase

• Collaborate with web designers to translate visual design objectives into pixel-accurate, performant interfaces

• Mentor colleagues on effective, responsible use of AI tools in the development process

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of professional web development experience

• Hands-on, demonstrable experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar) in real production workflows — prompt-driven development, AI-assisted code review, and test generation

• Strong judgment for reviewing, validating, and securing AI-generated code — you know when to trust it and when not to

• Excellent command of front-end technologies: semantic HTML, modern CSS3, JavaScript (ES2020+)

• Experience with Tailwind CSS is a strong advantage

• Solid PHP skills in the context of theme development

• Experience building responsive, accessible user interfaces for websites and web applications

• Ability to convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes into working, production-quality pages

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and data formats (JSON, XML)

• Proficiency with Git and modern collaboration workflows (branching strategies, pull requests, CI/CD basics)

• A solid understanding of how web applications work: security, session management, performance, and current best practices

• Working knowledge of technical SEO and Core Web Vitals

Nice to Have

• Experience with headless CMS or modern build tooling (Vite, npm workflows)

• Familiarity with MCP integrations or building internal AI-powered tooling

• Experience setting up or improving automated testing pipelines
